Breakin’ The Law

The second law of thermodynamics states, in general, that over time things go from a more-ordered state to a less-ordered state. Things decay, metal oxydizes, my hair-gel fails, etc. This puts forth the question of the square-knot. When I place my mouse into my computer bag I make sure that there are no knots present in the cable. When I open my computer bag again invariably there is at minimum, one square knot in the cable. Over time, somehow, my mouse cable has become knotted which suggests that knots are of a less-ordered state than non-knotted things.
